Britta Ernst is a German politician who currently serves as the Minister for Education, Youth and Sports in the state of Brandenburg. She was born on October 4, 1974 in Kreuzberg, Berlin.
Ernst studied political science, history and philosophy at the Free University of Berlin and Humboldt University of Berlin. She joined the Social Democratic Party (SPD) in 1992 and has been actively involved in politics since then.
Before becoming Minister for Education, Youth and Sports in 2017, Britta Ernst served as the Minister for Labour, Social Affairs, Health, and Women in Brandenburg. She is known for her dedication to improving education and youth welfare in the state.
Ernst is also a member of the Paritätische Wohlfahrtsverband, an association of charitable organizations in Germany. She is married and has two children.
